Question about Gross Polluters
Question for you guys, there's a Auto RX-7 for sale here near where I live, the VIN has been requested twice here and I know that it's a gross polluter, the question is generally how hard would it be to repair that to it being at least at the point of it being able to pass smog? The reason I'm asking is because it's for a good friend of mine and his left knee was badly damaged a while back and he can no longer shift.

He who smokes bitches
Have you seen it run?
My guess is that it was reported gross polluter based on a high amount of smoke exiting the exhaust, which could be bad oil or coolant seals, which would need a rebuild before you can hope to pass smog. Or you might get lucky with a bottle of no-smoke if it's the oil seals, but who knows.
