I don't hate the 1st gen, I would just never own/drive one. I'm way too young to appreciate "classic" cars. My FC already feels way too old. I'm sure your opinion comes from driving these "classic" rotaries (aside from the FDs, which are pretty amazing cars.). But my opinion comes from my fortunate experience to drive newer BMW's and Mercedes'. Of course I am not in the financial situation to own one of those cars right now but they've set a very high benchmark.

I'm sure it's possible to get a low mileage FC/FB with lots of work to drive and feel like a new modern car, but newer cars just drive better in general (the reason why they spit out new cars every year.)

I'm sure you can dig out numbers that say that these older car outperform even modern cars on the track. I believe it because when I used to be reckless and speed on canyon roads, I could keep up with any modern car. But owning/driving and owning/racing are two different things, and that is why I would never get a 1st gen, unless it looked something amazing like the one posted :P

Do you have pics of your car? I'm in love with gunmetal FC's since my first S4. I was so sad when I found out they didn't make S5's in that color in the US.

Oh yeah and a Top cause it's raining and if I get in I might be able to swin in it like on the cartoon. than she will be done on the Exterior but everything else is a different story. She really needs a lot of work and I'm goin through her.
