does anyone own a beartracker or some sort of police tracker in california? is it worth the money?

no, like the beartracker series BCT8 and BCT7 also do you need a good antenna for them to be effective

Better antennea = better reception over a wider area.... allthough my beartracker knowledge is dated... Later 90's.... I'd think by now the police use encryption .... and I don't know if the scanners have caught up... either way, I gave up on Radar Detectors, Scanners, and all that BS years ago, and my driving record has never been cleaner....

I save my need for speed for the track....
