Anyone know anything about Sahara auto group???? I'm contemplating buying another 3rd gen and they have 2 that look very good on autotrader.com They have like 2 others for sale as well. I live in NJ, so I was hoping to get some feedback on this place before I take the next step and fly out there. Appreciate and and all responses.

Thank-you

Honestly, I wouldn't fly from anywhere to purchase from Sahara Auto Group (formally know as MRX7). I never delt with him first hand, but I have seen every car on his lot. Most, it not all, have some type of body work done to it. I could tell by looking at the repainted exterior panels. I ran carfax on most of his cars and 75% came back with some type of accidents. For as much as he is asking on his cars, you could find alot of better deals on this forum. If I where you, I would just keep looking. There are some really good deals out there but they don't come around often.

Good luck on your search.

Liem.

I have not had any first hand experience with MRX-7 but I have spoken at length to some people who have. Some walked away with a good car while quite a few others got some real bunk deals. Just be careful and remember that for the most part, you get what you pay for.

I have seen many of his cars. I have never purchaced one from him though. They are always a bit sketch and I could never figure out where he gets them. Saraha Auto Group is a 10 minute drive from my house. If anyone is serious about any of his cars for a fee I could go look at it/compression test it etc. For someone who makes a living off selling FD's he really doesn't know much about them.

I plan on going there this tomorrow to go check out those FD'S with a potential buyer...From my understanding the cars are in well kept shape...on a scale from 1-10 there a 12 they have very low miles, and at that price still come with warranty...The bad side is the low milage...Specially on rotaries and there turbo these cars have to be be lubed and driven very often, to keep the parts, vacumes, and hoses none brittle...So eh either way i will let you know what the condition of the cars are, how they drive and will take pics and post them up here...so you all stay posted

I drive by there every day. Their cars look nice, a little too nice, if you know what I mean. When you buy from these dealers though, any of these types, you have to understand that these vehicles are not trade-ins or buy outs. These are cars purchased on the cheap from acutions, cleaned up, and resold. These cars have a bad history in some form or another. As long as you go into these dealers with that understanding, then you're fine.

Yeah There ******* Stolen!!LOL
wow so the guy is not from this country, has a little ******* money to buy nice show quality cars and you want to ******* label him with a dumb stupid comment like that...wow just wow...

Nice stereotype you know what i mean "wink" "wink"

So im not going to edit or change or delete my comment...I know where these cars come from and almost more then 99.9% of the time there repoes and then sold at the auction...Some times you get a good buy sometimes you get a bad buy...But either way for the condition there in is still something to look at, test drive, and take a mechanic with him/her...

I've seen the cars in person many times, and for the price I'm disappointed. The FDs that have the stock exhaust have tail pipes that are all rusted over and disintegrating. They were selling a GTUs that was in terrible aesthetic condition for $5000. I even asked one of the salesmen to start up the car for me and rev it up so I could hear what it sounds like, and he redlined it a few times after a minute of idling.

These guys seem to be able to get their hands on some rare cars (NSX, etc) but none are well taken care of. I'd look somewhere else.

do not skimp on purchasing an FD or you'll end up learning the lesson the hard way.
