eh, try fixing a generic "stratocaster" guitar's action. =P (for my GF's lil sister)
i adjusted the bridge so the 12th fret harmonic pitch is tuned to its respective string played open.
now that's done, just gotta fix the action of each string. hate it when it buzzes.
i swear, the string is high because of the tension, but when pressed down, damn string vibrates cuz it touches the next fret.
if worse comes to worse, i'll make my attempt to adjust the truss rod.

dont touch the truss rod.
adjusting the action has nothing to do with the tenation...you first adjust the action, then the tenation.
in order to set up a guitar, the player must tell you how they like their action. some like the strings to be further away, some like it close.
if you are getting buzzing you must adjust the bridge to be higher. if you are getting buzzing open, you must file the nut.
