LACR's track is quite bad. Difficult to get good traction and the higher elevation does not help much either. However, it's the only true quarter mile strip around here.

the diff blew. idk what exactly, but as i was lighting up the tires, the car shuttered, there was smoke, and when i tried to accelerate it just inched forward and made grinding noise in the back. plus the leaking fluid coming from the diff.

Yup...left lane is definitely the worst. They need to re-open up Pomona Raceway again for the public.

You won't pass tech with your battery box. The only plastic battery box you can use has to be made from polyethylene.

And on top of that you need an external kill switch. That's what failed me at first and the battery box was just another nail on the coffin.

But hey, maybe you'll get a crooked tech inspector and you can slip him a $20 like I did

California speedway has a fairly good 1/4 mile. Tech is a bitch though!!!

That's probably the only good thing at LACR. If you bring an import, they usually won't hassel you about what's under the hood. Just always tell them that you run no faster than 14's.

California Speedway's dragstrip is pretty cool. The Belligerents used to go to these events before it was a 10 second or slower track. Yup, the tech inspection is quite thorough.

I heard LACR is pretty lenient as far as tech inspections go. They failed me at California Speedway, but I think they would have passed me at LACR.
