Official Sacramento/Elk Grove meet at Exotic Motorsports Garage

Yep, this is the official thread for the Sacramento/Elk Grove meet at Exotic Motorsports Garage.

Date: Saturday Sept. 4th

Time: 6:00 PM - whenever everyone has left AM/PM

Location: Exotic Motorsports Garage PM me for the address

Unfortunately food will NOT be supplied so feel free to grab something to eat on your way there.

I must also ask that you not invite multiple people who are not a part of this board as I don't want any street racer ricer's attracting attention. 1 or 2 friend's is fine but please ask me in a PM ahead of time

If anyone need's any small thing's done such as timing adjustment's, TPS adjustment's, idle adjustment, troubleshooting, etc... can be done there during the meet.
Any major work needing to be done can be scheduled in for an appointment at a later date as well, so feel free to ask.

Here are a few teaser pic's of the left half of the shop...

so your inviting ppl to a shop to have their car worked on? (I haven't been to a meet in awhile but is that what were doing now?)

but on the serious note, I could really make it to this meet....assuming I can put in my koyo rad by myself haha

just noticed your going V8, we've lost another one....

It's just a little get together for everyone to hang out, talk car's, share stories, good ole car guy time's.

Hopefully you can make it, you have a very clean FC that would make for some nice photo's inside the shop. That is if you don't mind of course

I have a 240 Z now ....the 7 blew up and was scrapped over a year ago...

Yep, V8 because the only way to make the same power from my L6 is by moving to japan and becoming best friend's with the local Z car tuning shops and maybe they will share some secret's with me after about 20 years....

Other than that i'm looking at spending about $25,000 in just engine work to get 280 rwhp on a cold night if i'm lucky and then I could never drive it around town because it would get crap for fuel mileage and be all high rpm peak power.

Turbocharging is not an option, a turbo L6 is just a ticking timebomb waiting for your worst day to come along so it can then go off and make it even worse. Once you figure out a good setup you will need one of the high dollar standalone ECU's and a water/meth injection system to keep the detonation at bay while under boost due to the poor design of the L6 head's.

oh btw I noticed you had a 240z i was just saying that because you seemed like you were going to build a Frankenstein L6 but now your going LS6 haha

but yea looks like I won't be making it to this meet now, just found another coolant leak (water pump started leaking on me when I started to fill the new rad)

I wonder if I'll ever get to drive my fc again =/

hopefully Sinone shows up in my place

Your talking about pulling the front cover...

You only need to remove the mechanical fan and shroud, belt's, waterpump pulley, waterpump, then reverse the order for installation.

Quick and simple, a waterpump is only about $50 for a new one IIRC and the gasket is only a few dollars.

If you need a hand let me know, but it's a very simple job on the FC.
