Damn! Apparently I need 10 posts to PM! That'll learn me for bein' a lurker.
Anyway:
HELP! I moved to Oakland with my 93 FD auto about 6 months ago, and as of this morning, he needs some professional help. Electrical issues: Looks like some kind of intermittent short somewhere. Either that, or my alternator's going.
...I already changed out that alternator, about a year ago. I don't have the time to do it myself at the moment.
In short: I need to contact somebody in Oakland who can take my money to make my car happy again. And after all the moving around and letting strange people poke around in there, he's probably overdue for a good once-over by trained eyeballs anyway.
After reading this thread, I was going to pm Junpower, but alas: I have not enough posts. Would some kind soul please ping him on my behalf?
Thanks. And Hello, everybody: I'm Katie.

This is my first experience to bring a car to a shop for a diagnostic. I normally have piston engines which I fix myself. Since i heard soo much about how rotaries are complex and what not, i decided to bring my car over to Rick's Rotary. I called rick over the phone and informed him I was running a jspec motor and the newer jspec sequential system and that my sequential isnt running right and it bogs.
The day I bring my car in finally comes, the result: He told me that to fix the sequential i would need to change it to the Usdm stuff. I told him that i informed him that I had a jspec motor then he tells me that he didnt know the whole motor+acc was jspec. I basically paid 125 for him to tell me that I need to change my whole sequential control system to the usdm one. I could have told myself that for free.
So for my personal experience rick's gets a thumbs down.
