NORCAL BAY/SACTO July 23 05 Toys for Tots meet and drive SOCAL WELCOME

NORCAL BAY/SACTO July 23 05 Toys for Tots meet and drive SOCAL WELCOME

**If you wish to join the email list for event please send a email to events@mode6online.com or PM me**

The day’s events will go as follows. Meet and setup for a mini car show and have lunch. After lunch we will go on the planned drive. The drive is not a race or to see who has a better car. If you wish to showboat then take it to a track. I and those who volunteer to help me will not tolerate any showboating. If you do we will stop the drive and ask you to leave. Please respect others and others space while driving. There will be also 1 or 2 photo opps for the drive.

The July Toys for Tots Meet and drive will be held in the parking lot of

Regal Cinemas 20 and IMAX Hacienda Crossings
5000 Dublin Blvd, Dublin CA 94568

This is off HW 580 on the Hopyard RD exit.

We will be meeting towards the back of the parking lot near BEST BUY. If you come in you can’t miss the group of cars. We will be meeting AT 11:00Am and heading off for the drive around 1:00PM.

For those who are going on the drive, this is one of the most energizing drives I have scouted out for a meet. I will not post the run until the night before. If you are on my email list you will get the run before hand. It has some VERY challenging areas and some areas the make for great photo opps. Total drive length is 55 miles and will take about 2 hours figuring photo shoot stops.

Please relay this info to the boards you have posted this event on and PLEASE post it onto other boards.

Thank you

I will be updating info for you guys as soon as I get it. This is going to be a huge meet. Last year there were well over 100 cars at the meet. If you don't deciede to go on the drive, at least come out and help some needy children while you show off your cars

Also, for those from the south bay interested in a caravan up to Dublin, I'm going to be taking charge of that. I was eigher thinking the In and out burger on tully and capitol, or great mall, top level parking structure.

Hope to see you guys there!

Sweet, I live in Pleasanton so I'll probably be there.
And there's a mistake in the info.
"This is off HW 580 on the Hopyard RD exit."
Its the Hacienda Dr. Exit on the Hopyard Rd. exit.

Ah ok, I'll let em know that the directions are wrong. I'll just mapquest the directions from great mall so when we leave we won't get lost. I checked out some of the run yesterday, some of it is pretty crazy, no guardrails with sheer drop... *shudders*

Also, for those coming, you will need to bring a 2way radio, so everyone can talk to each other, and if something happens up front, we'll know to slow down.

God, I'm pissed, I can't make it to this drive. My friends went on the last toys for tots drive, and they said it was the best drive they had ever been on.

How come you can't go?

Remember to bring a toy for the event. Any new, used, unwrapped, wrapped, just something to help a less fortunate child. If you can’t think of anything go to the dollar store and grab something. Anything for boys and girls please.

Below is where to meet when you arrive.

Anyone else show up to the meet. Or go on the drive.

I have pictures of the meet, the drive, and the crash. I can't upload them right now cause it isn't my camera and I have no way of getting it in my computer.

Or maybe FireTora has some pictures.

An 8 series crashed on the drive, completely flipped over. Both of the people in the car are ok though. I was like 4 cars behind the car that crashed, and 2 of my friends saw the crash, and I must say they were lucky to survive

Nice meet lots of cars, even though no Ferraris or Lamborghinis or such came. Drive was good till said accident. And i experienced brake fade - that was FUN. need to check my brake fliud and stuff soon.
Here is a picture to look at. There were about 5 cars infront my FC that I couldn't get in the picture and you can see some more cars coming up in the back.

I have some more on my site here.
And I'm gonna try and get the pics that Taka87 has from my friend when he puts them on his computer. If succesful those will also be on my site.

Underestimated the corner, slammed on the brakes and understeered of the road. At least that what I understand happened. Then 2 E46 M3's bumped eachother cause some people stopped right after the blind corner and didn't really send a message back. Fender damage on one, bumper damage on the other apparently.

haha I could restore the paint job if I wanted pretty easily, which i would be really willing to do... if I didn't have the dings I have in my car, and if the back body was strait. But it got damaged at one point from something and it doesn't go with the flow anymore

The 8 series didn't brake.

The car took the turn too close to the inside . His back tire hit the dirt on the inside of the turn and he spun out into the ditch. Will post pictures as soon as my friend uploads them.

here is a temporary Cell phone pic

Only 3 Rx7's showed to the meet, I thought there would be more. It was more of a Bimmer and 350 meet

dude has two different kinds of tires on it. Looks like he's got some M+S tires on the rear and some performance tires on the front. They looks like AVS ES100s
