irvine is about 35-40 mins tops..

we can meet up with the south bay ppl. then caravan to the meet up spot, and meet up with all of LA ppl on the 5.

i still havnt decided, should we BBQ a day before seven stock, or right after seven stock. or sunday the day after???

any ideas?(ps look at my BBQ threads, my last bbq we had like almost 60 ppl show up)

Okay. I think the best route to take as far as leaving is concerned is to go ahead and follow the same plan as we've had before.

Meet at the Tracy stop Friday morning at 6AM. We leave the Tracy stop no later than 6:30AM.

We'll stop for fuel in Santa Nella as well as to meet with anyone else there.

I think that we should cut out the Kettleman city stop altogether unless we really need to stop for whatever reason.

Our final stop before reaching Irvine will be at the base of the Grapevine. Best to stop there for a bit and let our rotaries cool down a bit before taking that 8 mile uphill climb.

We should only stop for a total of 30 minutes max at each spot. That way we get to the hotel roughly around 2PM. Just in time for check-in, drinks and relaxing.


The return trip will most likely be a little different. I'm probably staying till Monday just for ***** and giggles but that isn't 100% decided yet.

 

The event is on Sept 26th. We leave the morning of the 25th...return the 27th or the 28th.
