Yeah a seatbelt is a must. I have lost a couple of friends because they weren't wearing seat belts. And in all 3 crashes, the police were 100% sure that my friends would've lived if they were wearing them. It's just not worth the risk. Pull your head out of your *** and start wearing your seat belt!

No, San Francisco cops are pretty chill, especially compared to other Bay Area cities.

I totally agree that seat belts should ALWAYS be worn. I don't like that the government gets to decide that I HAVE to. BUUUUUUUUT, if there were no seatbelt laws, I really wouldn't take it so serioiusly. I remember not wearing seat belts as a kid. I didn't think much of it. The seat belt law does bring to light the seriousness of not wearing a belt. All in all, I still don't like the government dictating how safe I have to be with my own life, but I 100% agree that seat belts should be worn all the time.

If there was no law requiring us to wear seatbelts I could see car insurance premiums skyrocketing.

How about they make it -- no seat belt no emergency care.

Not necessarily, funerals are cheaper than the hospital.

I'm half tempted to leave it open to see if anyone posts anything with a point to it. I just don't want to come across as a moderator/****.
