So i was in an accident i posted another thread about... well i just bought my rx7 it hadn't even finalized yet. In the end they are taking my car with in a day or 2... im fucked for the time being hopefully they can help me get another vehicle. i tried to have my lean holder let me keep the car but they wont allow it.... i dont feal that well right now i wish i kept my 1st gen and bought the fc just to cruze.... life is cruel and now im carless rx7less lifeless. if there is any hope maybe i can get another fc from a dealer or an fd but i dont think so ill get stuck with like some shitty SUV or a ******* honda!

 

im not sure of wut happend bro, but i have been in two accidents and i also work at two auto shops. Did they declare it totalled? if so then you should be able to use the insurance money to buy it back real cheap. and have money left over to fix it....my rx7 has a salvaged tittle, but i got it fixed and it runs great, and i have the extra money saved towards a swap. it doesn't sound right that your lean holder won't let u have the ability to keep the car. it is your car after isn't it?

What insurance company do you have that look through the classifieds to see what the value of your car is?

They declared it a total loss so its not cost efficient to repair it after my 500 doller deductible they could only give the lien holder 2k. i still am clueless on whats going on. my car is fantastic all original with 91k miles on it the interior is great the body was decent so was the paint all it needed was a buff... when they appraised my car they didn't go off of kelly blue book which would go for a lil over 5g. i want this car but i wont be pissed if i don't owe 2 grand for the car when the accident wasnt my fault plus the insurance company sent me a letter saying it was 100% the other drivers fault. I got sucker punched for doing the right thing and reported it... lol wtf. i couldn't buy the car back if i wanted im getting married lol man. id trade my gf for my fc any day lol ok maybe not.... ill find out tomorrow whats going on by my lein holder the auto sales people and my ins.... Wish me luck cause right now i need it b4 i flip.

 

They tried to do that to me, got on the phone with Mercury and said **** YOU! Ended up keeping the car with clean title and $2200!

 

Well im fighting for my car unless they can offer me another rx7 of any gen other wise they can **** off. The only vehicles i will bring my self to buy are rx7 and dodge trucks. i almost drove to San Francisco just to buy the only rx7 i could find at a dealership.

the car was appraised for 2500 dollars i found out they went off of 88 mazda rx7 coups first of. the adjuster appraised the damage at Net total 1784.28 with my 500 doller deductible in there. that's 71% of the ACV (actual cash Value) of my car. Progressive is trying to buy my car for 2k to my lien holder and i would have a remaining balance of 2,259.00 dollars i would owe plus no vehicle plus i would have to finance another one with this remaining balance in the loan.

My dealer Dibs auto sales heard about it of course and called me, i went over today to say whats up and after they immediately saw the damage they were furrose at my ins. company for try to scrap the car aka total loss. Dibs helped me file a claim with the ins. company of the man at fault since progressive is giving me the shaft and forgot the lube so.... Tomorrow im getting a quote from a place on North Dutton . i had to contact my lein holder and they are telling me im going to be cut a check from one of the ins. companies don't know who; its a co check that i will sign over to the lein holder who will fix my car. so that's all i know so far. sorry about that. at any rate if my car was in fair or bad condition i could care less. i went out of my way to buy my first that had to be an rx7 had to be... i bust my *** to finally have somthing nice, somthing decent and now its being taken away but im fighting for it. i was told i had no choice but to give it up pretty much this is why im but hurt. ^_^ hope you understand a lil bit better.
