Nice 1st gen in Santa Cruz?
I live at Pleasure Point, which is a surf spot in Santa Cruz. I'd say about 2-3 times a month I see and hear a nice gray 1st gen going by my house with a board or two on the racks. It sounds like it may have an RB exhaust, but I can't be sure. It definitely sounds like the owner takes good care of his FB. It don't look bad either..nice and clean, stock, except maybe the ride height and tailpipe.
Do you post here? A gray FB with surfracks and exhaust? If so, that's a nice car you've got.

The guy just went by again.
Yellow longboard on top, rims, nice sounding exhaust...I'm 90% sure it's a GSL-SE.
It's tough to believe the guy's not on the forum...it's such a clean, nice sounding little 7.

I wish I would have had him pop the hood and fired off a few pics. He had a an aftermarket hood with some extra clearance, ie a scoop.
IIRC he said it was an E20 engine, but isn't that from an old 2002 race car? I'm not up to snuff on BMW engine codes, but it sounds smooth as hell and he drives it at least every weekend, so I guess it's reliable. I'll try to get more details next saturday, surf permitting.
