If it rains I say we do something besides a cruise. Caravans and rain do not mix... found that out during Sevenstock.

No but i dont think its a good idea to drive with that many people up there while it rains.

If it rains I will change the date. I will make it far enough out to give everone notice. As for now its still on of course but as the day gets closer we will know for sure

The stickiest tires in the world won't save you from an ice patch or oil/ATF/coolant etc.. in the road that you can't see because the entire ground is wet. I would never do a cruise on a rainy day just for safety reasons alone, sure it would be fun but there's too many stupid people on the road as well as it's hard to see. Also a pain to help someone fix their car in the rain if something breaks...which almost always happens.

An early morning cruise is really fun though, we did one back when I had my porsche up to mt diablo. ( drive there was more fun then the drive on mt. diablo FYI ) I'm talking about leaving for a drive before the sun rises kind of early morning Hardest part is waking up that early.

+1 on postponing the cruise if it end's up being a rainy day.

I also agree about changing plans if it rains. I trust a few of your peeps driving but for the rest of yeah I'd be a little scared. Takes one stupid driver and a little bit of rain to cause big trouble.

One idea for a back up plan is karting somewhere.

Trust me fly ol' funk here doesn't hate the rain. I used to go touge racing every night when it was pouring outside. Specifically because of the rain.

This one time a couple months back it was pouring outside and my boss needed me to go do a sign install in fremont!!! I was soooo excited because I never get to do installs in the rain... signs and rain do not mix. So instead of taking 680 and getting their in 10 minutes like I should have I went up old calavaras road and drove that all the way to hw 84, turned around, and headed back tracked to fremont. Sure it added a half hour to the drive, but my boss doesn't have to know that

BTW fly if you haven't been up old calavaras yet you are missing out.

When I get my car all back together you should come down. I'll take you on a tour; keep a nice not too fast pace so you can follow and learn the road. I've been on that road hundreds of times man its like cocain, only it doesn't screw up my sinuses for the next 2 days .
