I think it's amazing that anyone can find the track at a Solo2 event in a kart... they are so low, it's hard as hell to see... it's like a sea of cones....lol.

I remember alot of the mod guys would sit on their butt to look at the track on their walk. I woundered why till I tryied a kart once.. I had more trouble just staying on track...lol

I'm trying like hell to get my car out there (autocross) before my race in March. But I'm still waiting on the shocks they are bulding me.... This is the only part I hate aboult racing....having to wait for parts sucks!

 

Well I tryed and tryed, but looks like the first time out will be in a untested car.

I will be able to test on friday before the race on saturday @ cal speedway. I'll be runniTT to sort out the car.

My car is still on jack stands with parts on the way. I had to cut some corners, so I will still be running with the modded Nikki and no camber on the rear and no brake proportioning. So it's going to be under powered and tail happy going in to the turns. hmmm maybe if I just don't use the brakes I'll be ok..lol

I would have much rather had run a solo2, but at lest I will get a few laps in before the race.

This weekend NASA is running at SoCal Seedway. If anyone thinking of doing a track day, thats close by. It would be good to check it out and see how thing are run.

I've been skunked out of the pro solo again.. Thats the same weekend as NASA's Buttonwillow event. I was hoping I could come out, maybe next year.

Ran a few laps to day at Cali. Best time was a 2:06.04. But not bad for a stock block 12a.

That will put me some where close to the front. Was still changing things to dail it in. Changed springs and alignment after last run. Will see where I end up tomorrow.

 

At Cali speedway I ran 1.55. Its a tough coarse for under power cars. Hope to meet you one day.

Slow cars on an oval Indeed... I make a point of takeing a deck of cards and a drink for the straight and oval...lol.
But really, 1.55 is flying. I've done close to that (I'd have to look) in a Mustang before. But the most I could muster was a 2:04.
There were not to many PTF cars, so I jumped up to PTE. Ended up with a 3ed place out of 6 on Saturday. Sunday I had more crap come out of the tank and pluged the filter, so I just nursed it home to a 4th

Over all I was happy it made it around the track all 3 days.

Ok ok.... I need to get stop highjacking this tread. I'll have to make a point to get my *** out to a Solo event soon.
