That actually looks good. I wonder if there's going to be a coupe version.
This thread might be moved lol. You know them **** Mods. I did a 'New Rx7 thread' awhile back and they moved it to the lounge where a bunch numskulls started to post 'repost' balblalb.

No it's not Turbo'd
That looks more like a Mazda 6, with the 4 Doors, I know people are saying as a coupe it could be a successor to the 7, but I don't see the stance and design as that competitive to the Z or Corvette.. which is the market that they were after with the 7 ....
Who knows, I never got that excited with the Rx-8, due to HP, and design, I know this is more in line with the Furai, but even that somehow doesn't have the flow of what I'd call a sports car. Too many harsh edges, and rightfully so it resembles a race car, because it is! If anything the next RX-Sports car would be a mix between Furai, and this thing... either way not on my "Gotta" Buy list...

This definitely could be a Mazda6 replacement and I don't know why anyone would think it could be an RX replacement given the layout of the car. It looks gorgeous although I would like to see it with brake ducts. I'm not sure it could ever make it to production given the insanely long hood.

I love the front view of the car but the *** end has to go. It reminds me of either a Hyundai or Toyota Solara. It's like they were making a masterpiece, then just got tired and gave up on the ***.
If they use this design language with the next Rx-7 replacement, that is going to be one wicked looking ride!

According to our sources, Mazda is working on the biggest rethink ever of its signature Wankel rotary engine, with a 'stroker' version under development. A new eccentric shaft, with greater, err, eccentricity, would increase engine diameter, but could help improve the engine's fuel efficiency. Senior engineers add that some Sky-G piston engine technologies are applicable to the rotary, and could also help cut its thirst and exhaust emissions.

how much do you think this car would cost? That price would give us an idea of which bracket of cars the shinari is competing against. It looks nice, though I agree I'd like to see them come out with another 2 door.

So they got rid of nagare... and then fixed it and brought it back. I think they used nagare on a minivan or something. I'm betting they'll use this general shape on any car they feel like putting it on, though the concept looks like an RX-8 or Mazda6. I wouldn't be surprised if they use it for both, and maybe more cars, with a milder version for the 6.
IIRC the RX-8 is almost done and then there'll be another rotary (similar or different) or a couple dead years and then another rotary. The bad economy decreases the chances of them doing anything crazy, but increases the chances of a more fuel efficient engine.
