Oh snap! I almost forgot. I compression tested my 88 and the front was 90-90-90 and the rear was 100-105-95. So that rules out bad compression but has anybody on here (this thread) ever had a broken smog pump bracket? because mine is broken and I am somewhat convincing myself that that is the cause, or at least assisting the cause, of my vibrating 7.

That vibration could also be your motor mounts.

Check the U-Joints in the driveshaft and make sure there is no play.
You don't want it to get to the point where the driveshaft snaps on your way to work (>_<) I know.

Ditto Chris, when I replaced my u-joints, the vibrations stopped. But Eric, it recently came back mildly, I was thinking that the spider bearing in the u-joint isn't totally centered. How do you make sure its centered???? Without a precision tool, all I could do was a visual.

well it vibrates mildly through out the rpm range but is excessive around 2.5k to about 3200 rpm. I do need to fix the air pump bracket this weekend.

I'll be there, Maybe with one side of LED tail lights (working on them now)
As for the driveshaft, I had bought a new one from mazdatrix, already balanced. It's great when they have everything in stock.
The stock driveshaft u-joints can't be replaced, but the aftermarket ones from mazdatrix can.
