New and Improved Autobacs Thread!
Oh snap! I almost forgot. I compression tested my 88 and the front was 90-90-90 and the rear was 100-105-95. So that rules out bad compression but has anybody on here (this thread) ever had a broken smog pump bracket? because mine is broken and I am somewhat convincing myself that that is the cause, or at least assisting the cause, of my vibrating 7.
what about mine with cookie monster! haha thats alot of letters... 13bchris when do you feel the vibration? at idle? then its prolly the motor mounts but you should put a new air pump bracket on since you have 2 other sevens...
Ditto Chris, when I replaced my u-joints, the vibrations stopped. But Eric, it recently came back mildly, I was thinking that the spider bearing in the u-joint isn't totally centered. How do you make sure its centered???? Without a precision tool, all I could do was a visual.
i could put 13BC.M. ?? i dont know tho..
that must have sucked..
:AA:

hmmm, with that pricing, im considering just buying the rebuild kit, with all the seals, springs, and crap... but im just worried my housings and such are no good... if thats the case, gotta go looking for another s5 t2 motor... LOL
I'll be there, Maybe with one side of LED tail lights (working on them now)
As for the driveshaft, I had bought a new one from mazdatrix, already balanced. It's great when they have everything in stock.
The stock driveshaft u-joints can't be replaced, but the aftermarket ones from mazdatrix can.
