Need Help In LA

I am driving a 3rd gen. RX7. But somehow, my engine can't be turned on yesterday. It was fine a few days ago. Can anyone help me with this? Is this a starter problem? Does anyone know any shop that is good on fixing RX7. Thanks.

Where in L.A. ??? I don't know if you noticed but it's a BIG city !

Not turning over can be a host of issues, from Just a Fluke, to Starter, to Ignition Cylinder, to Bad motor... at the worst end... but you either need someone to come over, or tow it to a shop to know for sure...

You might also describe what you were doing / racing / revving / anything unusual before you turned the motor off, including if you Just Moved the car and turned it right off again, and don't sugar coat it, it won't help us diagnose it any further, anything you have a weird feeling over speak up, and we might be able to help.

I am in Monterey park. Last time driving it was only moving the car from one side of street to the other side. It was ok to start, but after 3 days, I just could not start it. I thought the power might be low, so I used a jump starter. But still can't start it.

Yes you can't just move a Rx-7 a couple of feet, you have to warm it up all the way and let it cool, drive it around the block, etc...

You might be able to break it free by push starting it, push it and then put it in gear !

What happend was moisture built up on the apex seals and fused them to the rotor-housing, this will occur without proper warmup and cooldown.... especially if you let the car sit for a day or so... if not a rotary mechanic can take a breaker bar to the e-shaft / front pulley and turn it by hand....

hoowhaaat? that ****'s flooded.

pull your egi fuse and crank the bitch over for 10-15 seconds. put it back in and fire it up. make sure the battery has a full charge when you do this.

Since he was suspecting the starter, I was under the impression that his motor didn't turn at all .... maybe I was wrong !? .... and I've had ^^^^ That happen...

Sometimes the moisture that you get when you fisrt start a 7 is still in the chambers, and from what I understood, the apex seals get fused / rusted to the chrome in the rotor housing, and the starter isn't designed to break that free... but again I might be wrong... in my case we had to take a breaker bar and turn the motor 1/4 revolution and ran fine... this was on my first 7 and it didn't have any issued untill I flipped it

But try Guitarjunkie's idea, he runs a shop out in Riverside... or that area.... and from what I've heard seen he's a good mechanic....

No, no. He is half right.

BWahahaha, all you need to do is let the problem fix itself. Wait another day or so and crank that ****** again. It'll turn.

The $100 is for travel time. Thats how much I charge to come to your door to work on your A/C & Heat. Then I charge you extra for labor and parts.
