Need help from 93 owners in CA
Need help from 93 owners in CA
Could anyone that owns a 93 RX7 that has passed smog in CA post their Smog Check Vehicle Inspection Report?
I did a search and found matt_ledbetter's post from way back in 2002. Thanks for posting that JPG Matt! Just wondering if I could get a few more for research purposes.
Don't forget to blank out any identification information before posting!
I think these information may be helpful to people that are trying to smog their 7's in the People's Republic of Kalifornia. I think it certainly will help me. If you feel posting them is not a good idea perhaps you can PM me and I'll give your my email.
Thanks a lot everyone!! Oh and obey the law!

Actually, I was trying to avoid saying this, but I already have a hookup, they're asking for previous smog results (for purely statistical data collection purposes of course). I can't find mine so I figure if I get a few smog results from other 93 RX7 owners maybe they can work with that instead.
But thanks for all of your advice, maybe I'll try your hookups!
I've heard denatured alchohol before too, but even if it works it still may not help me because my car's gizmo-torque has been replaced with a mecha-fishtaco.

Hey man, mecha-fishtaco's don't necessarily have an impact on emissions... hmm... actually I'm not so sure, but anyway, there are 1001 ways to fail a test only smog check... and many of them don't have anything to do with emissions.
In fact there are counties in CA where only regular (test only not necessary) smog is required once during transfer, and that's it. So you could buy car stock, register it, then mod it to hell, and never need to smog it ever again until you sell it. Since as we all know, pollution does not cross county lines.
The emissions control has too much beauracratic (sp?) BS. Some of it makes sense, some of it doesn't, and some of it is overkill. Anyway, ignore me, I'm just ranting.
