My Rx7

Hey yall,

I been going to school at UC Berkeley for this past year and I havent had the time to get on the forum or drive my car much. But the reason i decided to visit it today was to tell you guys i recently went home for the weekend to drive my car and I was involved in an accident. Some farm worker went off some grape vine with his work truck and struck my car. He quickly fled the scene without consideration on what he had done. Luckily the CHP got him but they tried to say i was racing/driving recklessly etc... The BS they say when they see a nice car. Anyways the car has structual damage but it can be fixed. The engine and drivetrain was not harmed at all and it still turns on. Anyways i will post pics of my car maybe one of you guys will have interest in it. It reads 38K miles on it. The single turbo street ported all chrome engine has about 5K on it. Anyways pics will go up shortly and maybe someone will take interest in rebuliding it or using its drivetrain and interior etc..

Thanks,

Miguel Padilla

Sorry to hear about the accident. But you weren't hurt and that's the important thing.

!@#$#@!%$!!! What did they do to your RX7?

What do you mean Structural Damage? Did you get hurt on the Car Frame?

I don't know what to tell you but you probably need to be patient to fix the entire car rigidity and integrity. I really don't know what to say... man... sorry to hear that.

****! That car frame is damaged. You know it's hard to repair~...

Why don't you save it and repair when you have money... ? it needs at least 6 months to repair into "almost" perfect condition...

???????????

it can be repaired. your correct. but until you see it in person, you have no idea of the extent of the damage.

and just curious what do you mean - "it's hard to repair frame damage", or "it just takes six months"?????

cuz to tear out everything to get to the root of the damage, and fix it, will cost way more than just money. no way will you want to rebuild if you saw it in person!!!

that frame isn't worth fixing.

it isn't just those sections that are bent but the whole frame because obviously the tractor/truck was rather large.

He is automatically liable for any damages since he fled the scene. Contact your local DA's office and have them press charges for hit and run. The wineyard itself will be liable since it was their worker. You will have to take them to court to recoup the value of your car.

BTW are you selling any parts? I need an intake

true, but there's a problem. First of all the dude isn't an American citizen, and Miguel doesnt' have full coverage. And what if the dude works for himself? The dude gets away and get sent back to Mexico. On top of that, Miguel mention that the cop say he was racing or was reckless driving.

Me and travis are suposed to go pick it up today. So once again if you need any thing let us know. I have lots of stock parts. But my last parts car is just about bare. Time for a new one.

You guys should see this thing though the whole car is twisted. the hatch dosent close right the passenger door has a huge gap at the top. It even broke the vband of the hot side of the turbo. It is very sad to see.
