Short story--- today little after lunch a old customer of mine who i have not seen in awhile came by to invite me to go golfing this weekend and my co-worker commented that he doubts that i would go(really have not been playing lately) cause his weekends are filled with Car Meets and what not.
The convo led me to show the customer how I've been spending time on working on my new project car. He has always known me for the one who enjoys Mechanical things. Customer always trying to make great convo, asked what kinda car has kept me away from associating with the industry people.
The Rx7 or rather the red car to keep things simple i replied.
He reacted quite surprised by it appearance and commented "NICE LOOKING CAR" rather more like with his thick *** Korean (i just got of the Boat) accent "Nice ROOKING KA"
I replied thank you!!! and this is where I should have changed the conversation to another subject matter. BUT NO!!!
-"ROOKS PAST, V6"
-no i replied, it's a rotary 1.3 liter.
-He replied, Rotary with a strange expression look on his face and said DOHC!!! nice DOHC.
I should have just said yes when he asked if it were a V6.
I love the fact that there till exist many number of people in the world who have not had the chance to enjoy and experience the GLORY of Rotary Engine!!!!

its sad but tru....... sooo many ppl have no clue wat a rotor never teh less a rotary 13b engine is..

 

as am i. i just dont learn well that way. and there are more than enough people that are the same. im not saying teddy shouldnt go im just saying its not for everyone.

i went to college for long enough to know i was wasting my time and money.....

 

i love going to parts stores and ******* with the people behind the counter.

ordering spark plugs is always fun. or injectors......lol

or teying to explain that it doesnt have cylinders.....

and then i tend to get that "ok stupid chick stop talking now please" look from the guys behind the counter

i have the most fun at pep boys its the closest place to my house.....but they are wise to me now. i think i messed with them to many times....but yeah all of them kragen pep boys autozone and napa especially

i went to kragen around the corner from my house,

i was asking for spark plugs, told them its for a rotary, they were like wtf?

and just starred. they had to call out of the store to find out what kind i need,,

 

yeah something about 2 different plugs.....idk i guess its confusing to most

 

meh, its soo simple..

but then again, ppl dont know **** bout rotaries..

 

i still cant believe you think the vr is a glorified vq......
