Yea i saw that meet. But was busy this week. Not sure about going to concord. but maybe.

I live in hayward.

I really dont plan on doing much to the rx7. Some things i like to do after i fix a few things would be Lsd. Light flywheel and Rb exhaust.

Sounds like i need to replace my throw out bearing. Isn't there another bearing in the transmission i should replace since im opening it up ?

I was told from my brother to open the transmission up and tilt the motor forward to get to the bearing.

If any one could possibly help me get this done id <3 you forever! Or buy you bunch of beers

Don't let it burst into flames like my brothers FB. I hear that tends to happen with these cars. Congrats, looks like a beauty. I would hurry up and put some BBS rims on those and do wood grain Momo steering and ****.

I like the woodgrain idea. But kinda like the Panasport wheels or Work Equip 03.

Atm tho would like to get the bearing fixed and go from there.

At the recommendation from Rotorsports I used Redline in my transmission when I changed my clutch out.

If you're replacing the TO bearing, replacing the pilot shaft bearing and seal at the same time is usually a good idea; it's all the same stuff to get off. Trans front seal/cover (which the TO slides on) might be a good thought, too.

Congrats to another 1st genner!

Yea that is the plan. just need a list so i can go buy the parts.

stoped by a local shop to see what they would charge to do this. and he kept asking if it was a V6 or not. I said No its a Rotary like 5 times before i popped the hood and said its a V nothing.

Oh and they said it would be 800 to replace the T/o. They can suck it.

Any way if there is any one who is Experienced and has tools ( i have a Case of Beer with your name on it Plus a few $.

I have done some work on cars. Just not on rotary. I use to be a Vw guy. owned 5 of them. 1 mk1 3mk2s and 1 mk3.

The 1st-gen specific forum is a good place to get advice on swaps like that. Lots of knowledgeable folks in there; you can frequently search and find an existing thread about what you're trying to do.
