Yeah I'm thankful it was an idiot trying to steal it. He broke everything obviously not knowing anything about stealing cars. I'm down for a drive as soon as I get more fuel and stand alone but a cruise is def in order!

Update* Picked up new iginition and wired real quick...car started fine. Now gotta put back cluster and other ish back together. New anti theft in effect and solex locks going in tonight

 

Good luck with real estate dude, now is the best time for buying a house. Donno about condo's, but housing get a forclosed home, fix the dents and scratches they made when leaving pissed and you have a great new home for dirt cheap.

looks like it was some random theft attempt.. hopefully they weren't targeted to the car.. i got out of the 240sx game because they became the hot trend car and targeted by thieves..

yeah get a quick release, at least it should give would be random theives a 2nd thought since they wouldnt be expecting that when they walk up.. They will have to do some homework before attempting to take it.

i also hate ebay steering wheels and quick releases.. gives thieves cheap wheel setups to carry for attempts.

You didnt mention how did they get in? did they bust ur key locks?

 

I'm picking up a shorty hub + steering wheel + short quick release next week. Hopefully the FC is ok til then.

The dude that tried to steal it I guess jammed maybe a screwdriver or something into the door lock. My key doesent go in all the way anymore but it locks and unlocks.

*So now I have the door light on the idiot cluster that wont go away and my clock doesent work oh and my CD player and dome lights wont come on. I'm thinking room fuse???

 

*UPDATE: I got home at 4 am this past Saturday (03/14/09), went straight to bed and I hear an alarm. I let it be for 2 minutes then it just gets annoying so I get up stick my head out onto the balcony and realize its coming from the parking garage underneath. I run downstairs and sure enough... My car lights are flashing and my alarm is going bananas! The door is unlocked and the handle was stuck open.


Basically someone is out to get my car. It's the worst feeling knowing that no matter what i do, the car can still just very easily taken on a flat-bed. I have decided to put it to rest for a while. I'll do more work in a closed structure and bring it out once in a while. This blows *****!
