my car was stolen and found in a 30 minute time frame.

so i live in north long beach/paramount. and tonight when i got home, around 12:30 i heard my car start up and drive away.. i called the cops, and they found him in compton within 30 minutes..

he is in jail now, but this isnt his first GTA(as they explained)

so be on the lookout within the next couple of months.. he got in my car(locked) started it(with no key) and drove it away slowly, and quietly( kinda... stage 3 clutch, straight piped exhaust) which only means HE KNOWS WHAT THE HELL HE IS DOING.

also he is a tagger, as i found white and red high end spray paint cans under my seat... TROPHIES ^___^

Don't need much knowledge to start these cars, the wiring is fairly simple.

Good to hear you were able to get it back. I'm going to invest in an alarm system.

i have no idea how he got in. both doors were locked, windows up.. and everything still works so i am unsure..

but as to how he started it, all i know is that when i picked up my car, i put my key in and started it, and while i was driving the key fell out with the car still running i feel so violated..

It sucks to hear that more RX-7's are being stolen these days but it's very good to hear that your FC was recovered so fast without damage.

Glad to hear your car got returned to you so quickly, makes me want to wire my FC with a remote activated bomb. You know, just in case.

The double suck about cars getting stolen is that the insurance valuation doesn't include categories for a lot of things enthusiasts care about. There is a fancy wheel category but there's no suspension category to help get you paid for your double adjustable coilovers, no OS giken limited slip diff category, no front mount intercooler and built motor category... etc etc etc.

I've had a car stolen and stripped. I did the math after it happened and figured out that on net I got paid about 10% of the value in aftermarket receipts I had beyond the basic blue book on the car.

Definitely an argument for lojack if you don't have a garage.
