Moving to Vegas (smog question?)

I might be moving to Vegas soon and I was just wondering what emissions testing is there in Vegas?

Do they have BAR stickered cars there? Or can you swap any motor you want and not worry about smog tests?

I know they do smog testing but is it the same pain in the *** process that we have here in California?

(I know I could do a web search but I figured a Vegas local could give me some quick answers?)

Swap away! I just can't remember if you have to pass emissions for the engine or the car.

If you move to Nye county (Pahrump), there are no emissions.

Also you are alowed 35% window tint on the front passenger windows and no limits on the rest. Although you can have 5% on your fronts and most cops won't say anything as long as your windows are down if you get pulled over.

Nevada is pretty sweet as far as car mods go. Rules are pretty lax. I hope it stays that way.

Yeah it seems pretty nice out there. I tripped out when I saw almost every car that was tinted had limo tint on the drivers and passengers side windows!!!! Thats kicks ***! Life in Cali is pretty oppressive if you are not a mianstream conservative.

I just bought a house in NW-LV near lone mountain. I cant wait to get the hell out of Cali. All the stuff really fun stuff I like to do is hard to do up here in the Bay Area...like shoot guns, ride dirt bikes for miles, drive cars with swapped motors and all 5 windows tinted, gamble and prostitution. (okay not the last 2 those 2 are everywhere Cali.)

I make $32 an hour and cant even afford to buy a house. (and still have play money to enjoy life) In the bay area I am still considered lower middle class income. Aint that some weird ****? I was better off staying in Hawaii. At least there I was poor with a million dollar view.

Very true, I have noticed that jobs here generally pay about 75% of a similiar job in CA. I Just moved here from nor-cal also, The only thing that works is coming here and getting a more advanced position then you were working in CA. That way you are making more money and it looks better on a resume later on, at least if you work in hospitality. The other thing to be aware of, **** goes SLOOOOOOW here. I have been in process for a month on one position. Gone in 3times after the phone interview. And they are still doing back ground, drug test and who knows what else. So far it has been a month process and counting just to get on with Mirage.

Love the idea of lax smog and tint, I can see going CYM with dark tint and the SSR formulas on my SA.
