Moving to No. California: smog ?

Hello, just a quick question about smog. I live in Texas and have an 85 GSL-SE.
I am relocating to way northern Ca. (Humboldt Co.) Can anyone give me info on smog requirements and what I might be in store for. If it's going to be too much of a hassle, I will reluctantly have to sell. Thanks!

CA smog info

See this page for info and call the local DMV for confirmation.

It appears that Humblt Co. does not require smog check for registration.

Humboldt might not have restrictions other than a one time only smog. I know thats how it is in the foothills and mariposa. Usually mountain areas are pretty lax due to the people tree ratio
