More breaking news!!!!!!!!!

In case you have no idea what happened check it out here.
https://www.rx7club.com/sevenstock-archive-227/ss-12-courtyard-2nd-gen-voting-863619/
wow dude they lock the thread cause of people like you and you start this???
rx7what = kanye west of rx7club.com
The whole reason someone got upset was because nothing was ever said that his vehicle was a V8 until someone else brought it up. They had a non-mazda rotary vehicle section......ROTARY, V-8 have never been included only because it's not an rx-7 anymore. Sure maybe that's my opinion, but who are you to tell me my opinion is wrong? I never said his car isnt nice, I just said non-rotary shouldnt be allowed in the vote. I left it at that but then everyone had to go in an uproar and argue back and forth. Threads like this don't help. I have no issues with anyone and hope to see all forms of rx-7's at sevenstock. So please have a little respect for everyone else. Frijolee does have a very good looking FC though as a side note.

I didn't make the picture. I just reposted because I thought it was funny. Learn to take a joke.
And the thread was not closed due to me. I was barley involved. The thread was closed because the person that started it (berni) turned out to be a liar. And everyone freaked out on him and decided to call him out on it.
P.S. find me at seven stock and call me a ******* to my face and see what happens. You need to watch the way you talk to people, even on the Internet. The world is to small to get away with it forever.

"The thread was closed because the person that started it (berni) turned out to be a liar. "
My friend. We know each other, so take this as a friends nudge in the ribs. That statement is seriously wrong and misguided. The central lie in the whole thing was the premeditated and careful crafting by Frijolee's of his post (by his own admission) to hide the fact he has a V8 under his hood. Further, his call to arms campaigning for votes to make it happen on the V8rx7 forum was quite clear. My favorite post on that forum was something to the effect the poster would vote for a RX7 with no doors, seats, or windows if it had a V8 under the hood just to twist some wankle faithful panties into a bunch.
In short, he tried to manipulate his way into the courtyard rather than campaign to get into the courtyard as a champion of the V8 swap community. Personally, of all the V8 swaps I've seen, my personal opinion is that his would certainly be a worthy champion to that end.
Unfortunately, contrary to his apparent expectation, the effect of he doing that went WAY more negative (your comment being an example) than Frijolee thought it might.
Having your friends back is admirable. Voicing your opinion, no matter how wrong you are, is your right. But to disparage someone like Berni like that, especially given the reality of it all, that shame is on you.
Now PLEASE let this die.

Blonde, blue eyes, 6'2" 220 pounds. I'll be waiting
hozzman - I know it may seem overly simplyfied but my view is someone gave their "word" to let the forum vote on "one" car from each gen. Remember that area is huge and can hold several of each gen. Everyone knows joels car has a LS in it it was even talked about in the nomination thread. For him to say he had no idea would mean he didn't even read his own thread. Then when he saw the people of this forums opinon did not match his own he decided to call the whole thing off. Basically breaking his word, making him a liar. So yes I would consider him a liar no better than a common thief.
I don't really see a problem with having one LS power rx7 in the special area, there was on there last year. I just see them as rx7's and I don't understand the people that can't. Kinda like how I just see people not black people, Asian people and white people.

everyone should wear a t-shirt with teh forum name, so if you secretly hate someone you can donkey punch them for the **** of it.
ill be wearing mine ; )
i agree with op, id vote for frijolee's car.. i mean its an rx7, its like saying a civic with a prelude motor is not a civic.
i guess who ever started bitching couldnt handle the fact that someone had something better and complained about the engine
but wtvr.

BlackHearts - Your Civic/Prelude example is, probably unknowing to you, kind of dumb. The RX in RX7 comes from Rotary Experiment. To expand, when you say "it's an RX7" you are in truth saying "It's a Rotary Experiment, 7th version"
RX7what - Yes, that is over simplyfying to a convenient platform. You're way way out of line and I'm sorry you can't see that. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on that.
To your points, I prefer to stand on facts rather than opinions:
Opinion - "Everyone knows joels car has a LS in it" I believe more accurately you should recognize that everyone from the V8forum, which is a community you strongly participate in, probably did know about whats under Frijolee's hood.
Fact - That wasn't common knowledge, including to Berni as he put out there, to the broad population of members of THIS forum. And even worst, Frijolee purposely took away the chance for the average forum member to clearly recognize what was under his hood. If everyone knew, why would he go to those lengths?
Fact - The voting thread has been deleted which is kind of too bad. If you clicked the number count in the vote pole, a list of the screen names of those that voted for all the entrants, including Frijolee, would present itself.
To satisfy my curiosity I was able to reconcile that the vast majority of those that voted for him had comment somewhere in their profile they drove Oxymoronmobiles (piston RX7's) and/or their screen name was identical to active screen names on the V8RX7 forum. (Note: You could also identify the clan from where the majority of the voters for Eddie were from. Very telling.
)
Fact - The only reason I knew about the V8 under the hood is I saw his car at Mazfest.
I will admit that it did stick in my craw that he won an award for best "Classic" Rx7 which of course it isn't classic at all by most common definition of classic cars. Doesn't change the fact I in fact admire his workmanship in doing the swap. Had the award been for something like "Best Alternative RX7", then ok. DivinDriver, in my opinion, should have won that award as his primary focus in developing his car was and is to celebrate the word Classic. Check out his car at 7Stock and you'll see he certainly has as much thought in effort in his work as Frijolee.
That said, my opinion:
Bottom line, I for one am really disappointed Frijolee didn't make the V8 conversion coupled with his attention to detail a centerpiece to his attempt to put a V8RX7 in a center light. This rather than the manipulative subversive approach he chose. If I were an active participant in the V8RX7 community, I'd be realllly pissed off at Joel for taking that very immature approach as it really made the V8RX7 community as a whole look REALLY bad to the guys that are the foundation to 7Stock, much less the wankle community as a whole which is the heartblood of this web site.
In the alternative, with some advance discussion with Berni et. al, I'm sure a well located "Alternative" section could have been added to the lot plan. Instead he chose a going ****-them-off-eventually approach. Rather than bring the two sides closer together, this all created greater separation.
Berni is in no way the bad guy here. The bad guy in this case is unfortunately one of your own.
One final thing so perhaps readers might better understand where you're core sympathies sit.
Request - Please post a response, tell us what engine you have under your hood. Heck, in your response please celebrate what you have with pictures and resume of your car otherwise.

Thats what I did. The only opinon I stated in the entire post is my feeling that liars and theives stand on equal ground, and I think the bible has my back on that one.

So before we can talk we must first show you our papers. The problem with that is it doesnt show were people sit. Take me for example. I have owned around ten FD's over the years, only two have had LS motors in them. I have been in the rotary game for over ten years. And I think they are really cool. I really want to build a NA 4 rotor for a FD one day. But the cost is just way to much for me right now. The only reason I am in the middle of putting a LS2 in my 95 is because I plan to run around 550+ at the wheel AND daily drive the car.
Some day I will build that high compresion NA P port 4 rotor with a 9-10k rpm limit. But for now I have a LS2. So where do my sympathies sit?
Once again I started this thread as a JOKE. I actually thought I posted it in the lounge I dont know how it got in here.

This all reminds me of a crazy logic comment a while back that LS1's are widely recognized as better than Wankles because more Camaro's were sold than RX7's.
Correct about the G40. But big difference between a complete departure vs. minor modification.
"I would never repeat anything said in a private message but now that you have brought it up."
Not sure where that comes from. Nothing to do with a private message. As mentioned, I was at Mazfest and just giving my observation from being there. Although Frijolee did point his winning the award in the parking spot competition thread.
Classic RX7 award as was given, in the situation we're talking about, I would think should be to as close to what a RX7 was like or could have been like when it first came off the assembly line. So would cover FB, FC, or FD. Don't think a V8 RX7 would ever have come off a Mazda assembly line.
Otherwise, agreeing to disagree with my flat earth friend.
Still would like to see pictures of your swap work to celebrate one more example of the V8 thing. If it looks anything like DCrosby's, you've done good. DAMN thats a whole lotta FD's you've gone through.
Out.

i mean im no "Guru" and if my post count has anything to do with what i know about rotaries then i can see zerorx7 building and designing the new 7 from scratch in his back yard.
but thanks for enlightening me with history facts hozzmanrx7, but thats all they are history facts. regardless of why he(frijol') decided to post his car in that thread it met all criteria from what the op was asking for.
so my post inadequate as it was, its true.
im not taking sides, v8's in FD's personally are not my taste but to each his own.
im contemplating between a 3rotor and an a proven and reliableV6 but that shouldnt matter to anyone but me. my FD is still gonna be an FD or rotary expriment 7, series6 to you. its not gonna magically change into a cosmo. but enough ranting most people understand what im trying to say.

I agree with all of this, but i dont really consider a FC or FD old enough to be a classic car. I think it should have to be built at least during the 70's to be a classic. I know a few old guys that dont even consider cars built in the 60 classic, "too new" they say.
My build thread is here. Its not done yet but I was hoping to have it ready to make the 8 hour drive to seven stock. We will see, I am waiting on a few vendors.

You agree that frijolee should not have won the classic RX7 award at MAZFEST.
Thanks Robert
