:Puente Hills Mazda, located on Gale Ave between Azusa and Fullerton Roads across the 60 Freeway from Hacienda Heights (17723 East Gale Avenue Industry, CA 91748), is stepping up and sponsoring a great situation for all things Mazda. Thus the MazFest comparison, just no track event. They've already had two meets so far, so this already has momentum.
This is on solid ground that all can count on to happen every 3rd Saturday of the month every month in 2013 and hopefully beyond.
Again, this is every 3rd Saturday of the month every month in 2013.
Show up any time after 9AM, and no one is expected to leave (but certainlyl can if they want or need to) before 4PM. These times will be the same for every meet. So easy to plan for.
LIVE DJ

OPEN BAR BQ with FREE Lunch including Hamburgers and Hotdogs (I heard rumor about Carne Asada in the future).

FREE soft drinks.

The organizer is working on having perhaps one of the 787 race cars on display at the January or February meets.
This is a really good thing guys. So special thanks to all that came yesterday (December 15th) providing the support, and a strong twist of the arms to those that didn't come yesterday to make it to the next meet on January 19th.
And to anyone outside the area with future plans to visiting So Cal wanting to know when and where a meet is, you now have a date to build those plans around.

Here is a link to the organizing thread for the past November and December meets complete with pictures: https://www.rx7club.com/west-rx-7-fo...stuff-1016325/

But in truth, anyone and everyone is welcome. The meet is meant for all things Mazda or all interested in anything Mazda since this all is sponsored by the dealership.

Rumor has it friend Stu Aull from Alaska (7Aull here on the forums; notorious 1st-gen NOS & memorabilia hoarder, heh) may be stopping by to take a gander at the proceedings.

The Beastie is clearly anxious for a day in the sun; got her off the skates, out from under the covers, and will tank up tonight.
Hope they've got plenty of diet soda; I have to carefully maintain my hydrodynamic pear shape for diving, heh.

I will not be able to make it to the meet this month, I am on call out for my job and can not cruise out that far. I hope to get there next month but I will be at the cars and coffee meet in Irvine as that is only a few minutes from my job.

... Well, this blows. Went to get gas, and started smelling antifreeze as I pulled into the driveway.
Leak at the water pump; either the pump gasket or the pump seal itself - - which should not be, as this was a brand new Gates pump less than 500 miles ago.
I have to pull the fan and pulleys and take a look. If I can fix it tonight, I'll be there tomorrow, but if the pump's bad, I won't. Not enough time.
Grrrrrrr. My cars DON'T leak!

Pump seems fine, but odds are I won't have everything back together tomorrow. If I can finish it before the meet's over & get things right, I'll try to make a run by.

I had a family thing pop up, so I won't be able to make it this time around.
Glenn, you better get the Beasty fixed as you're next in line to be in charge. It's a grey hair thing.
