new specs are:
-streetported engine with cosmo-sized runners (so i can switch to a cosmo manifold later)
-9.5:1 compression (took me forever...TWICE)
-polished face and radiused edges on the rotors
-port-matched lower intake manifold
-blitz manifold (getting modified to fit the fd engine bay) i liked the small runners on that one. wanted to keep the exhaust velocity high for quicker spoolup.
-gt35/40 duall ball bearing turbo
-apexi gt (aka wierdo fin) intercooler
-afco 2 pass radiator (stock fans, just cleaned up and painted)
-dual b&m high-efficiency oil coolers (all -10an lines)
-3" downpipe, borla ceramic coated resonated midpipe, exhaust control valve (will be actuated by a double throttle diaphram thingy), and haven't decided on the catback yet...probably an ATR muffler...they're the quietest flow-through's i've ever heard.
-haltech e8
-greedy profec
-haven't decided on exactly which gauges, but probably defi d-gauges if i can find them, or....well, whatever, just as long as they work.
that's about all the "power" mods i can think of for right now. it'll do an easy 400+whp on pump gas, but it's a commuter car, so i'll probably keep it at 10-12 psi on a daily basis...it's an fd, you don't need power

why thank you sir
i really tried to pay attention to all the little details. like wrapping the a/c lines (and all the harnesses) with the silicone tape...insulates, and gives it a nice new look. heater send and return lines, as well as both radiator hoses will be that corrugated stainless stuff. that's about the extent of my bling
oh yea, and i'm keeping the a/c!!!!!!

the intercooler was kind of a partial trade for some work i did on another guys car. i think we put a technical value of $950 on it, but i didn't actually pay that much
actually, it's that intercooler that fucked me up earlier when i was mounting the radiator. i wasnt' counting on a 5" thick chunk of metal being right in the way. it took some doin' to get everything all mounted up right, and it's still pretty damn tight in that area.

i have another thread in the turbo cars section on teamfc3s.org. i put the explanations in there, but i made this thread because i know some of the guys from here don't go there, and vice-versa.

why bother with the stock feed? barb will work just as well for what i'm doing, so no sense wasting money on shiney stuff...if i ever get greedy with the hp goals, i'll do something with the fuel system. but what i got is just fine until then.
the oil lines to and from the coolers are all -10an, but not the earl's crap. i get some really good **** locally. rated a lot higher, fittings last longer, are a hell of a lot easier to use, AND it's about 1/3 the price win win win.

god willing, it will be
i talked to dave hill at mazdatrix today about getting reimbursed for the first set of rotors that got trashed in shipping...that dood was ******* PISSED!!!!!!!!!!! i guess people don't like taking responsibility these days...
i'd already told them i wasn't doing business with them again, but he felt he had to have the last word on it--so no i'm not allowed to buy anything from them ever again.
but what's done is done, and the car is almost done. so bad relations or no, the car will live again.
