Saturday, August 14, 2010: MazFest, Miata Challenge, and Autocross!

More Mazda Love then ever before!! MazFest returns for its SIXTH year including a full day event with track time at the exciting, challenging, and LOCAL - California Speedway. Take advantage for your chance to satisfy your craving for speed or to learn with the pros! This will be a low traffic event, with more than 1 ˝ hours of track time, instruction and class techniques for beginner drivers. Timing transponders and helmets will also be available in advance through our registration page. For the first time ever we will also have available an autocross course for all our Miata and low speed Mazda family. Garages are available for rental at this event with prior purchase

INTERNATIONAL ALLSTARS CAR SHOW

Love showing off the latest and greatest modifications you've done to your car? Does your ride have the best entertainment system money could buy, or the custom bodywork that makes heads turn? If you think so, then enter your Mazda in the International Allstars MazFest 2010 Car Show competition. We'll be giving out awards for the best rides of each model represented, as well as an award for the crowd favorite! The Entrance fee will be collected at the event. Judges will be our Mazda specialist vendors as well as MNAO employees.

SPECTATORS

Participants are welcome to bring family, friends and a picnic. As always, we will also have available race car ride alongs for that once in a lifetime opportunity to hold on tight and experience the track with a Mazda pro race car driver. You never know what pro Mazda race car drivers will show up! Please feel free to bring E-Z Up Canopies or chairs. Registration for the race car ride alongs will take place on the event date at the MOCC booth. Concessions will be open at the event as well. Come meet and greet our beautiful Team Allstars models for photo opportunities. RAFFLE and GIVEAWAYS galore as always! Raffle tickets will be available for purchase day of the event at the MOCC booth.
Please note there will be a $10 gate fee per person.

This is a well established Mazda’s - only event going into our 6th successful year, in which we will be permitting selected vendors to display and sell their items and services. Vendors at MazFest are always known for being active and respected in the Mazda owner’s community. All vendors need to register with us prior to the event, and must be displaying or representing Mazda vehicles and/or Mazda related products only!

For once something good falls on my vacation, after almost 3 years of building my car, im looking forward to track her for the first time.

 

If you're going to charge for the car show this year, you really should list the classes and qualifications for each class, so people can decide if their car fits any of the judging standards.

Helps a lot.

 

If I remember correctly there was no gate fee last year

 

because redline was hosting last year, even the garage was free. too bad the only redline events now are time attacks

How much is the fee? I checked the speedventures site and they did not say.

 

You'll get tons. I got somewhere between 15-20 and I went home early, if you stay late I'm sure you can get more. You pretty much go, get back in line, go, no one's keeping track besides you (if you're counting). They rotate run groups every 30-45 mins or so... it's really fun, there is no course work, you don't have to pick up cones

I'm really looking forward to the track time... woo hoo I signed up too Can't wait!

 

I'll be there for the track day on Saturday. It would be fun to drive on Sunday too with the Ferrari Club but the discount for both days is only $10 bux

I should e-mail Speedventures to see if we can get some type of group discount. Last time I asked, they said its possible to get free garage space or free timing if we get a group going. I'll ask about it and report back to you guys.


Theyre usually $20 bux per garage space (2 spaces per garage). They give you a little sticker to place on your windshield so they know who's supposed to be in the garage and who doesnt belong in there.

We are working on finalizing car show classes and should have something up on the site within a matter of weeks

And "Best REPU owned by a guy over 39" please.

 

Time attack charges a gate fee now. I think it was $20.

 

On the GATE FEE... as ReZ311 mentioned... all of the track operators are doing now, REDLINE charges $20 per person. AUTO CLUB SPEEDWAY is getting more expensive, as is everything now a days, and this is an unfortunate situation that the organizers of Mazfest have tried as hard as they could to reduce, but it is what it is now, and we hope this doesn't deter too many folks from coming out to enjoy an awesome MAZDA celebration!
