Hi guys I'm thinking of moving to AZ and I was wondering how hard is it when the emissions checks come every year for you guys with 7s to pass(Do you even have emissions checks yearly), as well as having a car with a loud exhaust and driving it in relation to the local authorities(hehe), having no emissions equipement, etc.

 

Loudness isn't really a problem.

I drive daily a 2.5 DP to presilencer to 3inch catback single(corksport) and It's Effing loud. Been pulled over quite a few times but they never complained about it.

Emissions in Phoenix is Bi-yearly available as well as yearly.
Tucson is yearly only.

Emissions is on a dyno-sniffer and they require.
CAT
Air Pump
ACV

It's relatively easy to pass with some fake vac lines and such. If needed you can run alcohol.

They don't do that CARB approved sticker BS. They just look for the basics and don't care what mods you have as long as you pass.
