I know this is short notice, but if anyone is interested...

My buddy is a cameraman for Current TV (Al Gore's company) and has been shooting and documenting cars and the scene for internet broadcasts. He has shot some of the JerryBuilt Honda's and just recently shot the SoCalMR2 club and is looking to do rotaries (my persistence of course!)

Anyway...if you are free Saturday (7/21) and are in the LA/Burbank/Pasadena area, we could use some cars. I just got the call a 1/2 hour ago, so I'm trying to get somthing going.

Bascially we could have a small meet and do some cruising/burnouts (if anyone knows a safeish place). Looking for all rotaries, all years.

Maybe start at Griffith Park or Rosebowl and see what the concensus is for places to go. He went to the canyons with the Mr2's....

I really have no idea what its gunna be like, but if you're free and feel like it, post a reply and we'll see what it looks like.

MR2's met at Yankee DOodles in Woodland Hills and did a Mullhuland (valley section) cruise. Took about 2 hrs. they said....still up for options.

 

OR......SHOULD I TRY TO PUSH THIS TO THE 29TH and cruise AFTER ricky and ronnies meet since we're getting kicked out early!!!!!! Go up the coast or something!!!!

Its an option.....Saturday 7/21 is still cool with me, but there will already be rotaries gathered which might make this easier.

 

Why won't you just tell your film buddy to film during Ricky's and Ronnie's old school RX meet?

Artowar: If you don't want to contribute or participate than don't even worry about what I'm asking for. If there were sites or email that could handle 700mb, then I would send you the earlier broadcasts that I have. I am not affiliated with the company, just trying to get rotaries some exposure...no matter what kind of exposure it may be. It is in no way negative or looking for people to bust. This is just an opportunity for a QUALITY event/cruise type video to be made of SoCal rotaries...nothing more, with the possibilty of local and nationwide exposure.

If you check out current.tv, you will see an assortment of clips....the car **** has been on cable TV, I believe comcast and a few others...adelphia does not carry the channel yet. BUT, the money for these clips is coming from Gore...this is one of his subsidiaries....there should be a producer and crew at the Ricky and Ronnies event....to film, interview and do some cruise footage....this is what I am told. All event info has been passed on to the company and should be go to go. So don't get all bitchy with me about anything...I'm just trying to help out here.

If you got a problem.....look for the light blue Rx2 sporting the big *** dent and RS-8's. I'll be glad to talk about this business. If not...**** off.

Me-- all bitchy? You've got the wrong idea. I'm just trying to help out here (in the Forum) by figuring out what it is you're promoting, and who or what you are trying to help out. Now, if it turns out that you guys can suck Al Gore dry of money by (a) shooting videos that don't show a caravan of assclowns stuffing their cars into canyon walls, or (b) otherwise begging the CHP to clamp down on cars fitting an RX-7 profile, why then I'm all for it
