Looking for a place to get an Rx-7 checked out in SD

Possibly picking up a '93 this week and looking for a mechanic I can take it to get checked out. Located a bit north of San Diego Ran nice today when I drove it, just want to make sure.

However ABS doesn't work and it pulls a bit to the left. Hopefully the latter can be adjusted.

Thanks ahead of time

As for right now Fusion Cafe is burnt right now people are only allowed to go there if there going there to handle biz or go eat. Other then that some ricer with his honda burn the place out two weeks ago and the ******* pigs raided it.

They have a security guard there now, and from my understanding he is pretty cool if you play it cool with him. But for the last two weeks it has been totally dead since that bust from that dumb *** ricer.

If you want to check it out anyways fusion car meets are Tuesday cars and spectators start going around 7 730.

If you want your more then welcome to bring it by my pad if you want someone to check it out. Names teddy bro.

Oh and about AutoTech stay the hell away from them bad service, bad work, and just bad all around.

STAY AWAY FROM MECHTECH!!! REPEAT, STAY AWAY FROM MECHTECH!!!

They did me dirty and when confronted, Jim, the owner, did a lot of back pedlin... I will be doing a full review of their practices very soon on a different website... I will say this, they gave the FD I puchased a full, 100% Pass on everything I specifically asked for... Wiring harness, Leaking Turbos, Vacuum lines...

Harness was cooked, exposed wires, almost every connector broken...

Said Turbos were dry as a bone "On the inside" as I asked him to check... By the time I got home, they were full of oil... (they are also the shop which charged the previous owner for the turbo rebuilds and the labor to remove and replace them less than 20K miles before) I was told by another shop they turbos had not been touched...

3 vacuum lines were kinked...

The one that got me was what I asked Jim why it smelled of gas, he told me it was a tuning issue just as the previous owner told me... He said definitely it was not the injectors leaking cause everything down there was dry... Well both injectors were leaking... Sigh... I was rolling a car that was just waiting to catch fire...

Not to mention around 20 other things on their own check sheet they said checked out good, but in fact were not...

The reason I did not check them myself is I am from LA and the seller did not have an area I would be able to tear into the car... Mechtech assured me they would do a very indepth job, but when confronted, said they did the best they could according to what was requested... Not true since they did not catch a single thing...

I can go on and on, but I guess what I'm saying is, STAY AWAY FROM MECHTECH!!! Just on the critical things they missed, I'm out over $2500... That's not including the misc. small things I still have to fix...

Try SpeedMachine up in Vista. They're a little pricey and hard to get into but what really good shop isn't? They're pretty good and fair. Falken trusts them with building and taking care of their Drifting RX-7's and RX-8's so they must be doing something good. Person to talk to is Dave.

Yea, I'd bring it by SpeedMachine. They're the only people I'd trust my FD with in San Diego.

Hey some guys that have an orange FC that go to fusion took there turbo FC to speedmachine to have a halteck installed. Come to find out some of the wires going and coming from the crank angle sensor were wired wrong. Could have been an honest mistake but from my understanding there haltech certified so go figure right.
