Hello,
I was wondering if anyone around the Long Beach/Cerritos area would be interested in helping with an engine/tranny install into an fc. Been putting this off for a while, but now I need to get it done to make some room in the garage. Helpers will receive decent beer and food
. I should have all the tools necessary but this is the first time doing this and would like help/guidance.
Thanks,
Wazway

By harness do you mean chain connected from motor to cherry picker ghetto style? then Yes. And clutch and flywheel on the motor, but I don't have any manifolds on. Which ones would you recommend I install before we throw the motor/tranny in, cuz I got the car with just the short block and tranny in the car.
NO ,Im talking about the engine wire harness, put it on the motor while its out,as far as manifolds ,put on the intake manifold. Also connect the trans to the motor now,if you took it out allready

Hmm, ok so I have a bit to do then, but all in all it doesn't seem too bad for prep work. On a side note, how easy would it be to change the oil pan after its mounted to the car? Broke a screw trying to put in the oil level sensor and now i need to change the pan :/
Do it while its out NOW,or you will kick yourself. Dude you need to do as much as you can,now while you have clear/easy access to everthing.
When you install a engine you want it to be damn near complete,so once its in ,its just a matter of hookin up,water, oil, power, xaust, coolers & misc small stuff.
You dont put the motor in ,then put it togeter, granted some things must be done after install but....... NAW MEAN!!!!!1

Hey MrJackson, now that I realized I have way more to do than put in the engine and tranny, I will postpone this as my job has picked up as well. I will still be working on my car on Saturday though, and I would be grateful if you came still, just probably the engine won't go in for a couple of weeks :/
