CA Looking for any cool motorsport events in April/May around CA

Hey guys, I'm coming over to California from Scotland with some friends for my second round of Coachella music and arts festival since last year was so amazing!

All my friends coming over with me are also car nuts and we're looking for some motoring events/track-days to attend while we're there. A rotary specific event would be an amazing bonus!

Anyway we're going to be over from April 16th - May 3rd. Although we'll be occupied with Coachella festival from April 19th - 21st.

We're willing to travel anywhere around the state and possibly a bit further for anything that's gonna make it worthwhile!

Any suggestions welcome!

Wish I could take my FD over with me ......

The only big rotary meet is seven stock down there ....you could get a hold of the la or San Diego rx7 clubs and see what they are doing during that time. Not much going on that week

There is a time attack Round 3: May 4/5 - Chuckwalla Valley Raceway but you'll be gone

Anyways have fun at coachella

Your schedule has you set to arrive just after the Formula Drift event in Long Beach:
Formula DRIFT - Schedule - Pro Championship - Long Beach

Coachella is happening during the same time as the Long Beach Grand Prix:
Grand Prix Foundation Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach

Looks like there are some things going on at Willow Springs International Raceway:
Willow Springs Raceway

There is also an Autocross in the parking lot of the Fontana speedway on April
28, you can bring most rental cars (not trucks or SUV's) although that's technically a violation of the rental contract.
California Sports Car Club - Solo - SCCA

You can catch the Cars and Coffee show most weekends, but make sure you arrive early because people are usually leaving by 9am.

I've heard the Supercar Sunday shows are fun also, but haven't been to one myself:

You'll be leaving town a couple days before the Speed Ventures track day at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana:

How many in your group? If you ask around enough, there are often informal 'canyon runs' happening in the various mountain regions but they aren't always advertised online.

I've been to a few...you get a big mix of cars, and every once in a while, a rotary or two show up. The big days are the first Sundays of the month, so unfortunately you'll miss that, but the other Sundays are still good. Let me know if you go...my wagon should be ready by then.

For your canyon run fix there is GMR (Glendora Mountain Road), You Tube it. You'll see some RE heads there, the later you go (11pm-2am) the better.

Also there is the Peterson Automotice Museum:

If you go to Petersen's, I would suggest checking out the "Vault".

If you come to the Bay Area, I'm sure a some of the Bay guys would be willing to show you our local mountains. I'd be more than glad to show you the roads here in San Jose.

There is usually a small car meet every Friday in Alhambra. It is at a Tea spot called Cha For Tea... about like 2 hour drive from where Coachella would be? Nothing worth 2 hours to be honest.

Other than that... i forgot which Thursdays, but there is another monthly meet of mostly Hondas in Temple City.

ANDD on top of that, another Saturday little get together of rich boys and their cars like GTRS and PORSCHES in San Gabriel

NOT EVENTS THOUGH! but if you wanted to do something and look at cars while drinking some tea, pretty chill.

BUT I am trying to set up a mazda/ rx7/ 626 area car get together!!!
