Talking Looking for an AC guy local with experience on FD's

I have a Mana system that needs to be serviced and possibly converted. I would like to have it serviced by somebody who knows FD's and not Joe's AC shop.

Thank you

Lemme know when you find one too. My 93 needs a re-charge/retrofit as well.

It would be nice to get that working on the car.

The Mana system was supposedly installed on Base and R1 FD's and Nippon Denso system on Touring FD's. My Touring FD has a Mana system not Denso, the Denso system has the sight glass on the dryer where the Mana has it on the line.

Denso systems where installed at Hiroshima not sure on Mana systems some say by US Dealer or US port.

All the info that I have

I had some issues with my AC, and did a ton of research on these two systems. I opted on keeping it r12 and just getting it off ebay. If you need any fittings changed or repaired I used coldhose in FL, they know their stuff and can do ANYTHING with AC fittings... They fixed this for a total of 22$

The MAKER of your system does not matter- all that matter's is if it is an r12 or 134a system. They are serviced the same just different gas.

So far all 93fd's I've seen are r12, 94's are a split year for the gases.
If it's an r12 system try to keep it that way they are cooler than 134.

Very true except when it comes down to the dryer. On the r12 you can use freeze 12 as a substitute. I've used it on my gsl-se with good results.

Freeze 12 is 80% 134a. Sure it will work as so straight 134a will "work" problem is that r12 uses mineral oil as a lubricant & 134 uses pag or synesthetic oil to lubricate the system. You really need to go ALL the way with one gas or the other and the required lubricant. Putting 134 on top of mineral oil will starve your compressor of proper lubrication.
