In '89 they did make a GTi swift, but the fact remains that this is one fast car. Check out the seats, they have "race" written all over them. I mean, the car came with 70hp, but the addition of that muffler bumped it up to AT LEAST 71, so obviously it has a better power to weight ratio than its super-slow cousin, the GSX-R 1000.

According to most specs I've found on this beast of an automobile, the 1989 model GTi had even more power, with 70bhp. This obviously improves the power/weight ratio and makes it even more of an incredible aggregation of scrap metal and elbow grease.

but the car is a 91 though not 89, 2 year difference
Also GT has 100hp not 70hp. GA hav 70hp. I think GTi only offer in Canada n US as GT
