Jesse the FC is taken apart right now, a new and improved lil red coming soon... So I've been playing with the 8 instead. It's a fun family car

Videos coming later today, gotta render them.

Hey LargeOrangeFont what times were you running and what is your setup?

I was running low 1:34s in the black group. I may have had a high 1.33 or two. My friend was in the blue group and was running about 2 seconds slower. I think the car has 1:32s in it as is. I just have to push harder in a couple areas. We just put on the NT05s and are still figuring them out.

The silver TurboII there was running 1:30-1:31s and the gutted red s5 was running about the same. Both were on R compounds which made me feel a bit better about our times. We haven't ran with any other FCs before to see how our car stacks up.

The car is very neutral and pretty close to dialed in. It is a full weight base s4 NA with a street port, and exhaust.

We are running
235/40/17 NT05 tires
Hawk HP+ pads
BC coilovers
RB sway bars F&R
All delrin or spherical bearings in the suspension and DTSS eliminators.

Jesse no bro I was too late for registration. So I came out to see what road race is all about. I have always been a drag or drift guy. Now I am road racing for sure after a couple lap with Fris. The next one I will be running the FD and let me just say out there NITTO NT05 freaking RULE!

Thanks for the pictures! And yes the NT05s are a really good. I have been very happy with them so far. They are not extremely expensive, but grip well and are comunicative when they get near the limit. They also don't get greasy when hot.

They seem to work best between 34-37 PSI hot for me.

Tanabe GF210 springs

Ah, that sucks man. I'm hoping to hit up the track also, I'm bored of drag racing, mainly tired of breaking my FD..lol. I really want to get my car prepped for the road courses and maybe some auto-x. I will keep that in mind when i fit my spare FD wheels with new tires. I will look them up in a few. Damn, I'm getting all excited to get back into my FD..lol.

What are you doing to it now? that thing was sick already. Well, if you say its improved, then it must be pretty crazy. Yeah, that thing moves pretty well at the track.

Sounds like we have cars that are fairly close in setup.

Damn, you guys are fast. For a mostly stock RX8, low 1.30's is pretty impressive. My first time event ever I ran 1.46 clockwise. Too bad I don't have money to go out anymore. I just have to live my track fantasies through your videos. Sigh. I drive a stock rx8 04.

The FD running 1.31 on a first time track event had me speechless. I'm blown away. You must be driving with some serious *****. Good stuff.

Well I gotta give credit to a couple buddies who sat shotgun on two sessions and gave me much needed pointers... my ride has a lot of potential, I'm hoping to break into high 1:20's next time. I'm hooked!

Can you please post some more pics of your car (like maybe that pic in your avatar for starters)? Your car looks amazing on that side shot as its parked but the shot is kinda far! I need more pics of white fd's!

OBX header (I think, got it used), 2.5 in resonator in place of the main cat and a RB catback.
