drive was good, even got a newbie/non- member. had 2 calls from peeps that were late/ one dude had an injector o ring take ****. So we had 4 7's. AZ in the FD tuning the boost, gear graber sporting the "new" treads,me, and the new kid in a 88 TII/ sorry I forgot your name. Went so down 110 as fast as posible, about 135, cruised harbor BLVD in Pedro around the RPV bend north to tommys on Manhattan Beach BLVD. Made a pit stop, and continued north around the airport to the 10 west. PCH north 2 sunset BLVD. west to the 405 S. Damn near raced back to the south bay with GearG and AZ, almost forgot, blew a nice fireball @ 100+ next 2 a late model Supra, but he wasn't game, or he thought he got shot @ not sure which it is........

 

damn...sounds like you guys had fun. sorry i missed it. i was in norcal, getting waves from all the rotary guys up there.

Im glad I didnt make it. I thought it was just a cruise. If you wanna drive that fast, at least, do it alone in an empty road in victorville or in the middle of the high desert. yet, you refused to line up with me. Just my $0.02.

the srt4 is a fast car for its price, but it will always just be a srt4 no matter how fast you make it. Sure ive seen some srt4s beat c5 z06s etc etc. but still the c5 z06 was built w/ that power, aerodynamics, styling, handling, etc. intact from the chevy. The truth is, that the c5 will always be a better car, but that doesnt necessarily mean to be a better car it must be faster. People constantly compare their car to other cars and the truth of the matter is that who compares their car to a car worse than theirs? I mean I could compare my fd to a 360 modena and even if my fd was faster or i thought my fd looked better, it cannot be denied, that the ferreri is the better car and the fd is only better because it is my opinion. Now as far as comparing the srt4 w/ a rx7, no offense but the srt4 is a neon. Its more on the level of a civic, focus, or rsx.

AZ hit it dead on......and as for the stock boost....he won't say, he wants to pick on a stock NA, but he won't respond to anyone with a turbo!!! BTW I WILL race the neon on any road with a few corners in it. If you still wanna drag race a car I got a 67 Blown alchol camaro that's soon to be done, you can try that, I will even give you 6 second head start, you want boost looney, come get some @ 40 psi and 1500+ RWHP with a dyno sheet to prove it. He said he's @ irwindale on Thursday I might make it out to hand him his ***. I will be bringing a videocam too so I can post it. Anyone else going to make it?

 

BTW how fast can you got out there! I have only been to pamona/ palmdale 1/4. Is 7.90 170+ allowed there? how long is the shut down area?

 

irwindale is 1/8th mile, palmdale is the best track imo-- less cars, 1/4 mi.

You can take angeles crest hwy to the 210 to go home instead of jumping on the 14.

 

1/8 mile BORING........I didn't know that... Hell there are 2 streets around my house that have almost as much rubber as a track....Anyone in Gardena Check out 135th and MAIN ST. Mad rubber, seen a few cars pull the front wheels there. Full quarter measured out. leave heads up off the street light. 10 second cars racing there couple times a week. BTW palmdale too damn hot in summer, but the hangover nationals on 1/1 is cool to go to.

 

How about a LACR night - I prefer Wednesday night run. Less ppl than Friday

your lack of knowlege is laughable my buell when it was stock made 101 hp and 92 flbs of torque. Also if you knew what you were talking about you would know the Buell motors are 1200 cc sportster motors with bigger head/cam. The longer you keep this up the dumber you look.
