Although the law states that the seller is responsible for a smog, you can still transfer a title without smog, you just can't register it and the buyer can get the seller into some trouble if he wanted to. But you can also put "race vehicle" in the bill of sale and the seller is scott free.

ACTUALLY.....


You can buy the un-smog certified car, do what ever repair is necessary to get it to pass emissions test, then pin the bill to the seller. It happened to my parents when they were still living here

Got her done! Without the help of anyone from the forums..and I only had to go down the street from ZERORX7's pad/my college! PAID 150!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOO!

That's not true at all, damn near EVERY mod for a 7 is illegal in CALI.........FWIW I bet he got more than a few pm's.
