there was no "last shot", the guy made an extra dribble instead of shooting like he should have, hence no call

Wait...you are saying that just because a player commits an extra dribble, it should had not been a foul? I didn't realize extra or addition dribbling is a violation (unless it's double dribble) that would null and void a foul call.

It wasn't an extra dribble to begin with because he (Brent Barry) only dribbled once after the ball was passed to him. However, the NBA implemented instant replay for situations like this but failed to utilize their own tools in a crucial game.

What game were you watching sir?

The NBA announced earlier today that a foul should have been called.

As much as I hate to say it, the Lakers deserved the win. They outplayed the Spurs throughout the game and held the lead. The Spurs were itching for a miracle....

I'm sure he really meant that ...the look on his face after the play tells it all. Maybe you were watching Los Dodyers. Besides, like in my earlier post, the NBA already stated that it should had been a foul.
