Trying to paint the hood vent in gloss black since the carbon fiber is chipped and oxidized. Havent been to auto body in a long while. Was quoted $250 from DTM in El Monte. Is $250 a good price?

that's a really good price. It might not be an exact color match with your car if that's all you're getting painted. It would require some blending into the surrounding panels if you don't want it to stick out.

 

do it yourself with plasti-dip, don't like , remove

1 or 2 cans should be able to take care of it. you'll be out no more than 15 bucks

 

250 bucks to paint hood is more than fair.
