Job Openings at StopTech, Torrance CA

Brake Component Assembler
STOPTECH, a leading manufacturer of high performance brake systems located in Torrance CA, is searching for candidates to assemble a wide variety of brake system components and perform testing on some of those products.

Additional Job duties include:
Produce quality work on a consistent basis.
Achieve due dates on manufacturing orders.
Monitor and report part shortages.
Works closely with supervisor and fellow employees in all manufacturing areas. Candidate will work in a team environment where attitude is extremely important.
Includes periodic overtime hours to assure continual production to meet schedule.


Qualified applicants must meet the following position requirements:
Current eligibility to work in the United States.
Ability to understand both verbal and written English assembly instructions.
Manual lifting up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to function well in a team or group environment.
Must be able to cross-train into all assembly operations when required.
All applicants must pass an in-house basic math and skills assessment test to be considered for the position, as well as a background check and drug screen.
No assembly experience required, but preferred

Shipping and Receiving Clerk
STOPTECH, a leading manufacturer of high performance brake systems located in Torrance CA, is searching for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk.

Job duties include:
Compare production package with invoice to ensure package accuracy
Packaging/labeling and/or repackaging items.
Inspecting products that are returned.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Basic computer keyboard skills

Qualified applicants must meet the following position requirements:
Current eligibility to work in the United States.
Ability to understand both verbal and written English instructions.
Accuracy and attention to detail a must
Manual lifting up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to function well in a team or group environment.
All applicants must pass an in-house basic math and skills assessment test to be considered for the position, as well as a background check and drug screen.
No shipping experience required, but preferred

I know someone who applied for the brake assembler position via email. He did not get a response. Shall I have him reapply? He has a mechanical engineering degree...so for that particular position...he is more than qualified. (Although the upcoming mechanical engineering position may be better suited for him)
