I really need the fourms help right now =[
you will get a ticket in the mail and it will give you an option to pay a fee and you wont have to take your car to a ref or go to court.. it wont be cheap but imo its better then going back to stock if you have too many mods
Yup..thats when the cliche line "You have to pay to play" comes in.

he didnt point out anything he just told me to pop the hood so i did. and one quick look he said all this is illegal =\
soo uhh what part did he officer say was illegal, because being a "gross polluter" can refer to different things, he might not be aware of all the mods you have, and just sees particular parts that are flagged illegal to him. When an officer gives you a fix it ticket to make your car street legal they will tell you exactly and have you bring it to an officer to inspect it. If not, and the officer feels your car is just not street legal he could've just had it impounded. Get the specifics first you might not need to change everything, you might just need to make it look legit.

thanks alot me to
That really SUCKS!!! I got a fix it ticket for excessive exhaust noise and the cop wrote the wrong code #. So I can't even get a CHP to write if off. CHP showed me the code he wrote me up as I was driving the car without no exhaust from front to back, what a idiot. So instead I went to court and told the judge its a 1971 I can't buy the stock exhaust, the judge understand and all he can say is just pay it instead, $650. This is when my 510 was NA with street port and dual Borla muffler. I know it was loud so I said ok fix it only, no problem till the CHP officer laugh and told me wrong code was issue. Now its Turbo it sure runs a lot quieter. Man I called the officer and complaint to him. He did apologize. Its still $650 out of my pocket. I do try to make sure to keep all my lights legal. In the city of Montclair and Corona, CHP or Cops put a white sheet of paper in front of your headlights if the light is blue automatic fix it ticket is issued. Hope you can get all of it taking care. Good Luck!!!

no i have to switch it back to stock or else they gunna take my car =\
You would probably need to pay the bail amount just for the exhaust. I always try to avoid Huntington Beach at all costs since some (not all) cops there are ********. I got pulled over by them twice. Once it was a bike cop telling me that your 4 banger is louder than a nearby v6 which I then proceeded to tell him that my car doesn't have cylinders (scratches head) and gave me a ticket. The other time I was asked, "What are you doing in my city? Aren't you suppose to be in Westminster?" Being that I'm Asian I thought it was pretty darned racist.....
Ok whatever i got 1 of those tickets over a year ago just pay it.

so if i just pay the fine i get to keep everything?
Depends on the cop i had CARB stickers on what he was looking at my intake but he didn't know about my FMIC. He told me "I'm not sure what i'm looking at so we'll let the ref figure it out since i know it's not stock"

YES the ticket you rec in the mail will offer you
-Pay a fine and don't go to court or bother fixing it
(just say you work or never have time to fix it)
- Take it to a ref and pay a smaller fine
-Got to traffic school and pay a medium fine
pay the fat ticket and forget about it.. keep your setup

That's not even that bad but upgraded IC, intake, smog pump is gone, pulley, and upgraded IC pipes. To us, these upgrades enhances reliability while providing a slight increase in performance but to the cops it's a 'smoking gun' unless these are CARB certified parts.
Everything is easy to put back together except for the smog pump. The belt could be tedious. If you have the cash, just pay the fine.
Suggestion: Paint them shiny parts black. It could only help
