Hey guys im re-building my engoine and need a straight edge, is there anybody out there willing to let me borrow a precision straight edge so i can check my engine tolerances? im willing to put a deposit down for it. they're like 70.00 brand new and you only use them for like three things in the rebuild. so i cant justify buying one. im in san diego and will travel to pick it up.

aluminum levels are almost always perfectly machined, i just use a machined aluminum level from Home Depot for measuring face warpage and it works fine, cost about $15. cheaper than the cost of gas to drive across town to borrow one.
