How to pass SMOG with aftermarket intercooler & air intake?

I've lived in CA since 2011 and have not changed any parts since then, however since 2015 no one will even SMOG my vehicle because they say it doesn't pass visual inspection. Basically I have a PFS intercooler with no CARB sticker and I can't locate an Exemption Order for the part. It seems Peter Farrell Supercars is out of business.

I really do not want to change out the intercooler, nor the cold air intake box I have. I'm reluctant to take it to the Ref for fear they will flag my car in the system and force me to make the change.

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem, or if it's possible that the Ref would make some sort of assessment that would let them give me a pass or exemption?
(or a friendly inspection site in San Diego county)?

I have a guy, in Ramona, I use. I asked him about swapping my IC and if he could pass me. He said yes. Not sure where you live, but he could be worth the drive. Passed both my FDs, one has a straight downpipe, the other had some wires visibly jumped/surpassed by a fabricated wire. As long as nothing major is missing or added he is reasonable. P.s. he couldn't see my DP to know it was catless.

I just remembered that you dont need a carb sticker for aftermarket intercoolers. Should be in the BAR guidlines, appendox G. Ill look for it.

Bar.ca.gov/pdf/2017_Smog_check_manual.pdf

Page 49 under air induction says intercoolers equipped with the original turbo dont require verification of executive order during inspection.

Also says 1995 and older Air cleaner assy, without thermostatic air cleaner also dont require inspection.

read appendix g.... it does not need an EO if 95 or older. And yes, I’ve verified this with my local state ref. I usually bring him pictures of my mods and ask him about mods before I even do them.

I just recently tried to smog my car and it failed the visual. I brought out the same information posted here but they told me the IC was legal but the piping was illegal. RIDICULOUS!! Can I find rubber hoses that are custom sizes?
