how do i pass smog?

how do i pass smog?

what is the best way that i can pass smog, i will be buying a car(required smog check for vehicle transfer here) with a straight pipe and hopefully don't want to have to buy a cat to swap. how do you guys do it?

im guessing the best way is to go to a "good" smog station and pay them a little under the table for that signature.

in california, it is the sellers responsibility to get the car smogged-tell this to the person you are buying the car from.

thanks a lot rx girl, is that located on the DMV or BAR website to show to the seller so they can get it smogged

It is under the section on transfering a vehicle on the DMV website. If they dont get it smogged for you, you could always use it as a bargaining chip to get the price lower. But then you will still need to find someone to smog it illegally.

yeah im estimating about 300 bucks if they dont do it so i can buy a cat and have it installed. hopefully the air pump and air control valve is still there an working good
