i wish some people on here actually did some research and found out the dates of the local meetings and voting times and actually did their part as a concerned citizen. stop bitching, stop complaining.

if you arent up on the local laws, on the emissions laws, or anything else, then stfu and stop bitching when you hear about someone trying to move forward with bullshit laws. this has been a well known problem for 10 years now, hell, dallas texas has been using this system for close to 20 years now.

The car enthusiast crowd is a minority group, we been, and will be a minority group. Even if we did vote, it will do very little to have changes or for us to have benefits or upper hand. I don't blame the president, I partially blame the governor, but mostly I blame incumbent politician and to those are misinformed and not seeing both side of the picture. I blame political propaganda that construe the truth, inducing fear to the general public and target a certain group of people.


BTW your smog certification and license don't mean jack **** to me, to all I know your just another government worker. Don't even act like your voice count in a bureaucratic system, your just somewhere in the bottom in the chain of command, unless you hold office. Also stop your assumption that we are car dumb. Some of us here did work or are working in the automotive field.

i went through smog class at UTI after hearing all the stories and what not about that women made me stay away from doing smog. Also the MAN is always looking at you from few cars away or sends in undercover civilians

sorry If I came out kinda offensive, I mean you do have a point and you do point out and correct the misinformation being passed around. I just have a pet peeve about misinformation being passed around. Like people bashing a part without knowledge.

 

i most definitely dont mean to bash the misinformed, i just HATE misinformation. the main problem is, there is so much information out there, its easy to clip some from here, some from there, next thing you know your buddy is *** backwards with the right information........makes everything REALLY difficult to explain.
i dont remember the website off the top of my head, but there is one that has all the potential laws and bills and **** that are floating around, scary, thats all i have to say.
you think its bad now, if they passed 1/100th of them, wede all be fucked

and to fuster, unfortunately BAR is always just 1 slip away, the nice part about doing smog is the green, but "with great power comes great responsibility." you slip up, they **** you, and they try when they can. it kinda sorts out the responsible from the retarded, its super easy to do smog without messing up, and they give you a shitload of room for error.

Wow this thread got sidetracked fast.

Having a smog license does not mean crap, nor does having a vote. There is nothing we can do about anything because no matter who gets voted into office they all work for the same people.

BTW congrats on getting your EA Lloyd I remember you talking about taking the test soon.

 

a **** load easier than i was told, but i prepped for it hardcore. i took it at 8am in hayward at the psi exam place, yay for panera, i got oj and a muffin before and studied for an hour.
i was super juiced, i called like everyone, i finished the test in an hour and 20 minutes.
