GoKart Racer in Burlingame

I just went there for the first time on Saturday, and I have to admit, it was pretty well laid out there. I did a practice session in the Yokohama track and then a race on the Monza track...very technical.

I have some karting experience when I took a day out in Infineon, which was probably somewhat faster than these karts, but the experience for the dollar is pretty phenomenal.

Anybody go out there regularly? If any of you norcal guys haven't gone, you should definitely give it a shot:

I've been to GKR with a few friends once and did the supertrack. Might go there again after finals but don't know. I did not like how they ran the race last time since they squeezed in way too many people in that one race. Been to Lemans quite a few times though.

When we were in socal, we went to K1 Speed and I think I like the electric karts a lot better. Better management there too.

Ooh I didn't even know about LeMans in Fremont...is it worth checking out?

Yeah I'd like to try the supertrack at some point, and I'm sure there are varying experiences. When I went it was only three of us on the track at the time, so it made for some good passing opportunities but not too much traffic.

Yeah electric cars probably have a fantastic torque curve...would be interesting to try them out!

LeMans is not bad... I go with Justin every 2-3 weeks... but I have never been to GKR so I can't tell you which is better or not...

Having been to both, I think GKR is a lot better than lemans, a lot more organized and managed.

I usually go to RPM in Sac... It is much cheaper than GoKart Racer in Burlingame

Well for me... it's close to where I live, just 2 freeway exits instead of paying the toll and driving half an hour to get there. That's why we go to LeMans.

That choice seems pretty obvious...haven't been to LM, but I'm sure any indoor karting place would be just as fun as any other (for the most part).

So the karting options in the Bay Area are GoKart Racer in Burlingame, LeMans in Fremont, and RPM in Sacramento. I went karting at Infineon, but it doesn't seem to be as arrive-and-drive as the others.
