Gas Prices - Chevy Commericals - This is Sad

I just saw a commercial for Chevy in socal.

They are advertising something about, "buy a car and get gas for $1.99 for the rest of the year." - I didn't really pay attention to how they calculated that... BUT..

Its ******* sad when they have to advertise $1.99 being cheap gas... I mean typical price used to be $2.30 for premium.. and that was even high.

$1.99/g - ****... I'd be in heaven.

I just thought it was funny... and ridiculous. Damn socal and their outrageous gas prices. Highest in the country, w00t.

But a year of free gas varies from car to car. Hell, if I got a real year of free gas.. with no limit.. **** all of my friends and fellow forum members would be happy. We'd have weekly gas meets... stop by and I'll pay for gas.. haha.

I'd be fine with gas prices rising relative to inflation, but it's really not cool when the petrol companies jack up prices 80 cents in one month.

I looked at what race gas was at this place I usually don't get gas due to price...
3.99 for Premium 8.69 for 101

So can I just buy a POS metro, tell them I must have some sort of stuck injector... and fill up the FD with premium @ $1.99 ?? and then sell the metro at the end of the year ??

Nah,
You gotta buy a car with OnStar. You get the difference between $2 / gallon and the price you pay at the pump. You can't buy the POS metro, you gotta buy a POS gas pig like a Pukon, Tacoe, or a POS Grand ******, OR a Buick LaVerne, I mean Lucerne (I can't wait).

Besides. everybody knows when you activate OnStar on a Metro the current drain bogs the alternator down so much the engine dies. :-)

So if you buy the lucerne you'd get about $1300, if it's the Pukon- and you drive it 25000 miles a year to get as much money as you can - by spending as much money as you can - you get, drumroll please, $2400 ....... and this deal is for the first year only.

It's basically a cheap rebate doled out over 12 months - BFD...

Oh and you get to pay that first $2 anyway.
... and you still have a Pukon. Its false economy, or pretty close.

Keep your FD and start lookin fer ethanol, or better yet - butynol. Cheaper to make than eth and wont eat your rubber fuel line.

Want to bitch about it? Tell your congresscrook to repeal the law that prohibits Kalipornya from importing gasoline refined outside the state.

<soapbox mode off>
Thanks fer lettin me vent.

BTW, anybody else have lots of dumbass GP owners try to race your FD? WHY do they think grand ****** are fast?
